“I have used a high-saturation color palette to show homage to the intensity of spirit that President Obama brings to this country. The collage is central to my work; it represents the people who have been thoroughly enchanted by President Obama.”

The work of Pheoris West has appeared in the Philadelphia Museum, Italy’s Museo Civico D’Arts Contemporaneo Di Gibillina and the Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center.

West served on the National Endowment for the Arts’ Expansion Arts Panel, the International Juror National Exhibition of Zimbabwe and the Ohio Arts Council.

Pheoris West is an Associate Professor at Ohio State University’s College of the Arts.
